Straight leg dead lift on platform

1.    Stand with feet about shoulder-width apart and knees slightly bent.  Hold a barbell with both hands; grip involves palms facing toward you.

2.    Bend at your hips keeping your back flat.  Lower the barbell as far as you can without flexing your back or bending your knees more.  This is your start position.

3.    Extend your hips, maintaining your flat back, until you are in a standing upright position.  At the end of this movement, pull shoulders back slightly.

4.    Return to your start position remembering to keep your back flat.
